Tokyo’s priorities: new ambassador meets Mongolian foreign minister

Bilateral relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Japan have been developing to a high level of strategic partnership. Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar has stressed the importance of intensifying the economic relations of two countries, particularly focusing on the effective implementation of the Mongolia-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) and boosting trade and investment.

Minister D.Tsogtbaatar, made these comments yesterday (20 January) during a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Mongolia H.E. Hiroyuki Kobayashi. The sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

Ambassador Kobayashi pledged to maintain close cooperation with Mongolia on reinforcing the strategic partnership between Mongolia and Japan and expanding trade and investment ties, including the growth of Mongolian exports to Japan.
